The name Vacation Roots is a play on words. This abstracted aerial landscape depicts the eastern points of Long Island and the shoreline of Connecticit as it borders the Long Island Sound. Sunrise Highway runs out toward the Hamptons and Montauk Point. Interstate 95 hugs the Connecticut coast on its way toward Cape Cod. Ferry boats connect Orient Point to New London, CT. So there you have it; travel routes getting New Yorkers out to the historic roots of the 19th century vacation location.
