Bird to Canyon
36 x 36 inches
acrylic and mixed media on gallery wrap canvas
sold
This painting is an abstracted landscape inspired by the kind of satellite imagery seen on the Google Earth and NASA websites. During a trip to Santa Fe, I made sidetrips to Taos and Los Almos. The mountain going up to Los Almos reminded me of fingers. The Santa Fe River flash flooded that year; we saw petroglyphs, forests, canyons and mountains; all influential in the formation of this painting.
